Scalable Display Delivers on Contract for U.S. Marine Corp Aircrew Training Simulator
Scalable Display Technologies, a leading provider of software for multi-projector display systems, today announced the installation of its EasyBlend™ software in the Marine Common Aircrew Trainer Prototype (MCAT-P) located at New River, NC. Pathfinder Systems, which specializes in the management and execution of U.S. government contracts, led the project to develop the MCAT-P as a Phase II SBIR under the Navy Transition Assistance Program, followed by the current Phase III SBIR to provide technology improvements as training assessment.
"Once again we looked to Scalable Display to provide the industry's most accurate and easy to use auto-calibration solution for multi-projector displays," said Ivan Jaszlics, Vice President at Pathfinder Systems. "This installation requires a high degree of geometric precision and this is why we recommend Scalable's EasyBlend technology."
EasyBlend software offers the greatest level of technical precision in the industry, making it the ideal auto-calibration technology for military simulations. Using a patented camera-generated feedback system to calculate pixel-perfect instructions, or warp meshes, EasyBlend automatically calibrates the display and completes the task of aligning multiple projector display systems within seconds to achieve the highest quality multi-projector edge-blended images with rich and precise color.
"We are pleased that EasyBlend can be quickly and easily deployed to satisfy Pathfinder's customer needs," said Scalable CEO, Andrew Jamison. "The MCAT-P has a sophisticated screen geometry that requires state-of the-art software to meet the high precision required by the Marines."
